It almost goes without saying that water purity is associated with a healthy lifestyle, and this involves creating and encouraging helpful habits but also giving up the damaging habits. By far one of the worst habits is not the one in the heading above but the lack of exercise. However smoking is recognised as a very dangerous habit for health, the cause of many disorders of the respiratory and circulatory system and other related diseases, among which even cancer.
Quitting smoking is easy only theoretically, but those having this vice must not be “lectured” and hurried to quit but they need to be helped. The intensity of the withdrawal caused by the lack of nicotine is different depending on the smoker, the period, the number of cigarettes per day, etc. and the nicotine, just like any other toxin, can be eliminated more quickly if water is consumed. If water consumption becomes constant and the quantity is bigger, the detoxification will occur sooner. If you have been a heavy smoker, it is better to start by reducing the number of cigarettes in order to decrease the amount of nicotine and to relieve the post-reactions.
So besides other methods you may consider appropriate for you (books, sports, counselling etc.), in order to help the body to get rid of the nicotine and then the cravings, try a big glass of water every time you feel the need for a cigarette break. This is how you will also succeed not to gain weight – one of the biggest worries is that after quitting smoking they will gain weight because unhealthy snacks will replace the cigarettes.
